The Afghan Taliban has ramped up efforts to establish various channels of communication with regional and neighboring countries as its relations with Pakistan continue to decline and become more hostile following the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Besides attending the World Economic Forum in St Petersburg, Russia, Taliban leaders have reached out to Iran, China, Russia, and the UAE.
